what the...?

i have never seen such a thing.

no, not the stained insides
of a flush tank!
that i have seen plenty...
(i don't subscribe to bleaching stuff
just for the sake of it...)

but a tank cracking?
all by itself?
after years of being there?
30 years?????
crazy.

particularly because it happened while i slept.

i woke up with this big noise
like something heavy falling.
then, another one, louder.
then... sound of rushing water.
oh, @#$&*

i never got out of bed so fast in my life!
got on all fours behind the toilet
soaking myself in the process
and managed to shut off the valve
to prevent further damage.

we took all the towels out of the closet
and threw them on the floor
not only to dry it,
also to stop the water from flowing even more.
it was already on the hallway
getting to the stairs.

did i mention this was on the 3rd floor???

anyway, we were so full of adrenaline,
everything was dry in less than 5 minutes,
towels in the washer.
looks like no serious damage.
whew! what a way to wake up!

today i did some homework
(yea i am back to school...
but that is a story for another posting!)
then i went grocery shopping.


got a nice baguette, greens,
and a duckling for dinner.
we are cooking it the 5-hour way.

i think it's a wine magazine)

it gets nice and crisp.
yuuummmm...

and tomorrow?
i get to be on the moto crew
of the avon 3-day walk!
